This imposing building stands along an entire side of "Republic Square".
Inside, it is composed of three box floors and a gallery and it was restored on the occasion of the International Festival of Chamber Music (1960).
The foyer and the artwork (frescoes by Felice Giani and stuccoes) are magnificent.
In 1850, Luigi Mancini, a painter from Jesi, painted in Gothic style "Frederick
II entering in Jesi".
The "Pergolesi" theatre is one of the most important theatres in Italy, and the first in a non provincial capital city which merits the title of "Teatro di Tradizione" (traditional theatre) and it is open all year round.
